The landlord appealed the board's ruling.
Judge Karen M Cassidy RULED IN OUR FAVOR, upholding the board's rejection of the application!

Chilton Towers, LLC vs Fair Rental Housing Board of Elizabeth

The board voted 4-0 to reject the rent increase!

On Wednesday, May 18, 2016, The Elizabeth Fair Rental Housing Board voted 4 to 0,
REJECTING the landlord's application for a capital improvement
for the radiators and air conditioning,
citing it as maintenance and “replacement with units of LIKE KIND”.

The landlord and contractors are responding with better education including videos of the entire process.
